The Project

In the heart of Adelaide’s bustling business district, a transformation has taken place on a once a dated and overlooked office space on King William Street. From the outset, it was clear that this endeavor would require a comprehensive overhaul, including everything from structural upgrades to aesthetic enhancements.

The scope of work was extensive, encompassing the installation of new offices, a boardroom, kitchen facilities, and upgraded flooring and tiling throughout. Additionally, Stride tackled the challenge of replacing the aging aluminum windows, doors, and frames, breathing new life into the exterior facade.

One of the project’s most intricate elements was the installation of a new DDA lift, ensuring accessibility for all occupants. Despite the complexity of this task, Stride’s expertise and attention to detail ensured a seamless integration, enhancing the functionality and inclusivity of the space.

Stride also undertook a complete overhaul of the landscaping in the carpark area, creating a welcoming and vibrant outdoor space for occupants to enjoy.

Throughout the project, Stride faced various challenges, including delays due to the arrival of a new tenant. However, a proactive approach to procurement and programming allowed them to overcome these obstacles and ultimately achieve the proposed Practical Completion date on time and within budget.

The once-dated office space on King William Street has been reborn as a modern, vibrant, and inclusive environment that meets the needs of its occupants while paying homage to the rich history of its surroundings.
